#imosho

I want you to get to know the term: #IMOSHO. It is something that I will frequently use in my blogs, and it stands for: “in my oh so humble opinion.”

One of my pet peeves is someone who speaks about a certain topic in a generative sense, based off of their experiences, as if that is the truth. Of course, there are a lot of things that you can fact check because they are just the way they are, but most views in life are based off of experience, culture and upbringing. It is viewed from your own corner and therefor your reality and not everyones/the reality. Your or my way of viewing things and experiencing life is not universal and therefor not applicable to every single person who might fall into that “same” category.

Besides that opinions aren’t set in stone. (Sheesh, luckily. I’ve had my fair share of dumb opinions in the past.) Through experience, conversation, awareness and education you’re able to alter your opinion and change your view on life, and subsequently your reality.

Everything that I write, think or view a certain way is based off of my own experiences. It is the way how I live my reality. There is the possibility that we view things that same, but it does not have to be that way. Since i’m a firm believer and supporter of everyone having their own point of view, we have to be open to the fact that not everyone will view life the same as you or I do.

And that is ok…

As long as we respect each other. OFCOURSE within the context that your point of view is based off of respect and human decency. Being respectful and treating each other like a decent human being goes beyond any opinion or perception that you may or may not agree with.

What it comes down to is this.

Here on this website, with everything that I write, it is based off of how I view things in this current moment and what I know to be true to me right now. They are a part of my truth how I know it now, but they’re not necessarily your truth and they don’t have to be. I’m not going to act as one of my greatest pet peeves lol. If something written here does or does not apply to you, all good.

We’re here to walk our own paths anyways, #IMOSHO. lol
